Photo-Stikfas Recreation

This recreation is based on Yasushi Nagao's capture of the assassination of Japan's Socialist Party chairman, Inejiro Asanuma.

I have attempted to recreate the major human elements of the photo. Like my other recreation pieces i have tried to keep them as minimilistic as possible. For those who know of the photo, i purposlely left the 2 men at the back attempting to stop the assassin. This was to remove mess. With real people they have texture and tonal changes to make things look different. With simple solid looking characters things started to plend into each other. I know there are a few more elements that are off, but i was happy with the results.

I did add grain and grey scale to achieve the original photos look more and the original in colour can be found in the scraps section.

Wow...this is amazing. Now I know what you mean by recreation pieces. I have yet to look at your other works but I will soon but...I really do like this one. The whole minimalistic style suits this piece well.

That day, that place, in everything, "Thank you."

Thanks for your comment. Was afraid that the minimalistic look would kill the recreation process.

Very evocative. I think the minimalism works nicely.
